Mortgage loans increase again, this time with 8%

Housing loans

altMortgage loans have increased 8% in May compared to the previous month, data of Credit Centre on the mortgage credit market shows, as quoted by the Pari daily. According to Credit Centre the growth is mainly due to the even more active advertisement policy that banks have undertaken recently. Advertisements have appeared recently, offering 100% financing of real estates.

Violina Marinova, CEO of DSK Bank, commented that banks are orientated towards mortgage loans and voiced expectations that the number of mortgage credits will keep growing.

Credit Centre also revealed data according which the correlation between EUR and BGN loans is 94/6.

Even though mortgage loans are increasing, experts do not expect that this will affect the number of unserviced credits. Marinova explained that banks are being more strict when issuing a loan. According to the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) statistics, the share of unserviced mortgage loans is only 12, 61%.
