Metallica Crowns Sofia Capital of Heavy Metal
On June 23 in Sofia happened a miracle - Dave Mustaine and James Hetfield played on one and the same stage. A 27-year feud was ended and Sofia joined the two heavy metal performers. Sofia joined also the Big Four of metal - Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer
¨ Metallica. James came out on the stage with his guitar with the Bulgarian flag. "Metallica are the best of G-4," Mustaine confessed at the press conference before the concert.
The show of G-4 was very special because it was taped and transmitted around the world by satellite. The concert in Sofia will remain in history because here happened the miracle - all together were on the stage and presented Diamond Head's piece "Am I Evil?"
Fans were expecting a quake of 7-th degree on the scale of Richter, but the show turned to be a devastating 9-th degree. The heavy metal show that started at 15:30 at "Vassil Levski" stadium in Sofia was something unseen in Bulgaria till now.
