Investments exceeding EUR 1 billion were made in industrial areas around Plovdiv

Investments for more than 1 billion euro have been made in the industrial areas around Plovdiv and in the businesses in more than 60 major companies are revealed 12,000 jobs.
Existing and newly built areas will form the economic area "Trakia " after eight municipalities signed a contract for its development as a joint public-private partnership , said Plamen Pantchev , Chairman of the Board of Directors of " Sienit holding" a conference at the International Fair.
In "Trakia " include industrial complexes in the municipalities Kuklen , Rakovski and Maritsa , the new Agricenter in Kaloyanovo and new projects for Israeli industrial zone with high-tech park in Kalekovets and park "Education and high technology " in Plovdiv.
"Trakia" will be an area of 10.7 million square meters , is expected to invest another 700-800 million and 30,000 jobs , said Plamen Pantchev . It will give impetus to the industrialization of the region, development of agriculture, increase employment and integration of minorities, he said.
"Our area gives 7.5% of gross domestic product, it is a leader in the South Central area, a modern structure of the economy. Through the modernization of agriculture and industry to reduce unemployment and improve living standards", said Governor District of Plovdiv Ventsislav Kaymakanov.
