In Burgas are exposed gold coins of Alexander the Great

Citizens and guests of the city will be able to see rare gold coins from the time of Alexander the Great, Philip II, starting July 10. This will happen within the exhibition "Burgas Bay - crossroads of ancient civilizations and cultures."
These gold coins were found in 1963 in the village of Yasna Polyana. As exhibits in the exhibition are the coins used in the time of Constantine IV out and his successor to the throne Justinian II.
Among the oldest materials exhibition artifacts found in the settlement mound to the lake's from the period 5200 -3800 BC.
Besides coins, the exhibition will delight visitors with a head and a bunch of bronze statues of the Roman emperor Septimius Severus found in Deultum / Debelt / and finds the economically developed region of Karnobat during the 2-3 century - horse harnesses and bronze figures.
The event is the Municipality of Burgas and it is held in support of the candidacy of Burgas for an European Capital of Culture in 2019.
