Facebook’s Vice President opens Webit

Interesting

Blake Chendley, Vice President of Sales for Emerging Markets at Facebook, will open today the Webit exhibition on marketing, advertising and the Internet at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia. The expo will continue until October 29.

Presidents and directors of the world’s top companies in the digital industry will present their know-how, services and new technologies to Bulgarian consumers. Marketing experts will be able to learn many new techniques and strategies for advertising online, learn about online sales, ads in social networks, management of reputation, optimisation of search engines, etc.

Over 50% of Bulgaria’s population uses the Internet and in cities this percentage reaches 65%, said Plamen Russev, Honorary Ambassador of Webit and Chairman of e-Academy, before the opening of the event. "If a company is not active online, this is as if it is not present on the market for a significant group of consumers," he added. According to him, one can argue that more than 20% of the companies' clients can be reached mainly through the Internet.
