EU inflation fell to 3-year lows

Annual inflation in the EU in September was 1.3% compared with 1.5% in August, according to the European statistics agency Eurostat, cited by Reuters.
The lowest inflation rates were recorded in Bulgaria (-1.3 %) , Greece ( -1% ) and Latvia (-0.4 %).
Highest were in the UK (2.7% ), Estonia (2.6%) , the Netherlands ( 2.4%) .
Inflation in the EU has fallen to the lowest level of 3 and a half years, as inflationary pressures continue to weaken amid sluggish economic recovery and weak domestic demand.
Inflation in the euro zone in September 2013 was 1.1%, down from August, when its level was 1.3%. A year earlier, this indicator was 2.6%, according to Eurostat.
Compared to August inflation declined in seven Member States, remained stable in eight and rose in three.
