Cabinet gives green light to the construction of Lot 1 of the Struma highway
The Government has allowed the planning of Lot 1 of the Struma motorway to begin, announced its information service. The Council of Ministers approved the detailed development plan. Lot 1 stretches from Dolna Dikanya to Dupnitsa and passes through 997,813 sq m of farm land, including 209,315 sq m of third category, 175,067 sq m of fourth category and 480,090 sq m of irrigated land.
The terrains are part of municipal and private properties within the land of villages from the municipalities of Radomir and Dupnitsa. Ministerial consent for planning and construction of facilities for state and municipal needs on farm land from the first to the fourth category exceeding 100 dca is required under the Protection of Agricultural Lands Act.
