Bulgarian Govt to Hold 1st Sitting

Bulgaria's new government, headed by Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski, will hold its first sitting Wednesday.

The Council of Ministers will discuss, among other issues, Bulgaria's stance at the regular sitting of the EU Ministers of Transport, Telecommunications and Energy on June 7 in Luxembourg, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Television (BNT).

The government will also decide on the Bulgarian governors at the international financial organizations.

The ministers will adopt a report of the Interdepartmental Commission on Export Control and Non-Proliferation of the Weapons of Mass Destruction with the Minister of Economy and Energy and discuss the participation of the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology in the European Metrology Research Programme.

Bulgaria's new government, formed with the mandate of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), took an oath of office on May 29.
