Bulgaria's Finmin: There comes a wave of US investors

"Business entrepreneurs want to invest in Bulgaria and to get Bulgarian citizenship," Bulgaria's minister of finance, Simeon Djankov, stated in the town of Sliven where he got acquainted with the new production capacities of a big textile factory. 

"There has been a big interest in two sectors in the last 2-3 years," Mr Djankov commented. 

One of the sectors is the software production, in the type of logistics, where Bulgarian experts and excellent and they can compete in this field on a worldwide scale. 

"The interest in the production of car parts in Bulgaria has been also very strong in the last year and a half," Funmin Djankov stated. 

"There is a new wave of investors, mainly from the USA, who are ready to make big investments in Bulgaria in order to get Bulgarian citizenship," Simeon Djankov added further. 

"These are representatives of companies which mainly work in the field of finance industry. I do hope that this will happen. This is a Hi-Tech sector and give opportunity for the development of secondary sectors around it," minister Djankov concluded.
