Grigor Dimitrov's jaw-dropping shot at the Swiss Indoor Tournaments inBasel has been hailed as eligible to be named shot of the year.

During his match against SerbianViktor Troicki on Wednesday the talented young Bulgarian made an amazing shot – he came up a behind the back, half volley and dropped shot winner that stunned the crown and even himself.

"That's got to be the shot of year without a doubt," commentator Robbie Koenig exclaimed.

"This is absolutely outrageous. Straight to the casino, off you go."

Whether the best shot of the year or not, Grigor Dimitrov lived up to his "Baby Fed" moniker in where else but Roger Federer's town of Basel, all commentators agree.

Later on Wednesday the Bulgarian tennis star took a step closer to facing his idol Federer after advancing to the quarterfinals of Swiss Indoors tournament.

Dimitrov had 17 aces in defeating Julien Benneteau 7-6 (5), 6-7 (1), 7-6 (3) in a match that lasted for nearly three hours.
Meanwhile top seed and home favorite Roger Federer reached the quarterfinal round of the Swiss Indoor Basel after a hard-earned 6-3, 6-7(6), 7-5 victory over Thomaz Bellucci Wednesday.

Dimitrov will next face the winner of Thursday's match between Paul-Henri Mathieu (France) and Nikolay Davydenko (Russia), with the Bulgarian's Swiss idol Roger Federer potentially awaiting him in the semifinal.

The 2012 winner of the USD 1.84 M event in Basel will earn USD 440,000.
