The draft budget for next year is to be discussed today at the Council of Ministers after yesterday’s discussions in the Tripartite Council (government, trade unions and employers). The draft budget envisages an increase of revenues by BGN 1.8 billion calculated upon a 1.9% economic growth, 2.9% inflation and 1.3% budget deficit. The basic financial document envisages more means for social expenses, education and healthcare. Retirement pensions would go up by 9.3% as of April. Salaries in the military sphere would increase by 9%, of teachers – by 5%.
