BBC Advertising, part of BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, has announced the appointment of Bulgarian Tina Maratilova as Account Executive - Central and South Eastern Europe.
Tina will be managing the relationship with clients in the Bulgarian market on top of supporting the regional sales team at the London office.
BBC Worldwide has not appointed a sales representative for Bulgaria yet, however building relationships and partnerships with the Bulgarian commercial and tourism sector as well as with the local media agencies is in Tina's short term plans.
"I am delighted to be working as part of the team at BBC Advertising, where I have the chance to work with BBC Worldwide's great brands and content at the same time as keeping professional links with my own country by working closely with businesses and other partners in Bulgaria," Tina Maratilova commented.
Tina joined BBC Advertising in January 2013 and manages the sales of BBC Worldwide's TV, online and mobile products into the Central and South-eastern European region. She is responsible for the regional advertising revenues of the global commercial news channel BBC World News, BBC.com, TopGear.com and LonelyPlanet.com portals and other mobile platforms.
BBC Worldwide is the commercial arm of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). Its mission is to maximise profits on behalf of the BBC by creating, acquiring, developing and exploiting media content and media brands around the world. The money the company makes is reinvested in the BBC's programmes and services and returned to the BBC as a dividend to help keep the UK TV license fee as low as possible.
