A total of 500 visa applications from Russians accepted at consulates every day

Interesting

altVisa applications from Russian citizens will be submitted not only in exported visa centres in Russia but also in consular offices and via the e-visa system, said for Klassa Vessela Cherneva, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Consular Office will accept up to 500 visa applications by accredited tour operators per day. The admission of documents over this limit will happen the next day, explained Cherneva. Bulgaria has also consulates in Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, St. Petersburg. Until September 15, 2010, it will be possible for visa applications to be accepted at the consulate with our embassy in Moscow. They must be submitted, however, under the system for preliminary registration. Their submission can begin on July 1.

According to businesses, 500 applications are too little. On the other hand, two-thirds of the early entries have already been made. This decision is ineffective for tourism, said Lyubomir Pankovski, Deputy Chairman of Bulgarian Association of Travel Agents. Visas for organized tourist tours from Russia will be issued within ten calendar days, unlike the 30-day period which was in force so far.
Free visas will be issued for participants in international youth sports events, cultural and creative activities, as well as for training activities. Multiple-entry visas valid up to 1 year and with 2-5 year term of validity will be issued.
A similar relief regime will also be introduced for the citizens of the Ukraine, Belarus and the Republic of Moldova.
