Rashkovo is a village in Western Bulgaria. It is located in Botevgrad municipallity, Sofia district.

It is about 20 km northwest of Botevgrad, 82 km northeast of Sofia, 34 km south of the town of Vratsa, 21 km at the same direction from the town of Mezdra.

It consists of several hamlets - Plachkovtsi, Chukar, Belchovo, Gabrovnitsa, Belovir.

The population numbers about 170 people.

It is located at the foot of Rzhana Mountain, which is part of the Prebalkans.
The climate throughout Botevgrad Valley is often crude - a long winter and short cool spring and dry hot summers.
The village is electrified with maintained infrastructure. There are electricity, water supply and communication networks. Missing sewerage network.
In the village there is community center, shop.
Regular bus service connects it with the settlements in the area.


Tourism


The village is with beautiful scenery. There are opportunities to practice rural, mountain and ecological tourism. Marked hiking trails. Nearby is the hut Leskova.

In the area Marinkov rat is a monument to the fallen in the wars.

Waterfall Skaklya / a distance of 25 km / is among the highest Bulgarian waterfalls. Vigorous, crisp and crystalline water is lowered from 140 feet. The waterfall is impressive for its grandeur and beauty. Situated in one of the most picturesque shares of Vratsa Balkan, among old green forests and inaccessible cliffs, echoing birdsong by day and night by the melodic voice of crickets. In summer the water is being reduced. The road to the waterfall starts from the district hospital of Vratsa.

Nearby are the cave Ledenika / off about 30 km / and Cherepishki Monastery distance of 15 km.
