Prolesha is a village in Western Bulgaria, at Bozhurishte Municipality, Sofia District.

It is about 20 km northwest of downtown Sofia, 6 km in the same direction of Bozhurishte, 40 km north of the town of Pernik, 16 km southeast of the town Slivnitsa 9 km southwest of Kostinbrod and 40 km east of the Bulgarian-Serbian border.

The population numbers about 450 people.

It lies in a plane around Proleshka river which originates from indispensable source in the center of the village, captured and known as Roman Fountain.
Nearby is Prolesha dam suitable for fishing.
The terrain is flat at an altitude of about 550 - 560 meters.
The climate is continental. Winters are relatively cold with average monthly temperature in January 2,6 º C. Summers are warm with average monthly temperature for July 21 º C.

The village is electrified with excellent built and maintained infrastructure. Water and electricity supply. There is coverage of all mobile operators, automatic telephone exchange, cable TV and Internet. A construction of sewers.
There is regular bus transport to Sofia - route line.
At about 2 km away there is railway stop  Brigadiron the Pernik - Voluyak.
Passes through the village road Kostinbrod - Herakovo.

The village has a community center, church, pharmacy and shops. Schools and doctors there at 6 km distance in Bozhurishte.
Because of its proximity to Bozhurishte and Sofia and availability of land, the area becomes more attractive for investment.
The village has two furniture factories dryer for wood material and enterprise manufacturing of flooring and oak beams of the workshop material and bells.
Favourable climatic conditions, determining the proximity of the mountains Vitosha and Lyulin make the area suitable for herbs and ecotourism. Bojurishte municipality is named one of the cleanest in the country environmentally.
