Staro selo is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Radomir municipality, Pernik region.
It is 18 km southeast of Radomir, 28 km of Pernik in the same direction, 24 km southwest of Rudartsi and 41 southwest of Sofia.
The permanent population is about 180 people.
It is located in the West Srednogorie at the foot of Verila mountain and Debelets peak, its altitude is about 585 m.
It falls within the temperate climate zone. The spring comes late in the of March - the beginning of April. The summer is not hot. The winter comes earlier than in the other parts of the country.
The village is well-maintained and with good infrastructure. There is constructed electricity installation and partially constructed water system, all mobile operators have coverage, automatic telephone exchange.
Here are working community center "Iskra", town hall, food stores, restaurants and pubs.
Regular bus transportation connects the village with the other settlement in the municipality.
Through the village passes the international road E79 (Sofia - Kulata) which is part of Struma highway that connects us to Greece.
Recently many people are attracted by the fresh air, the dam and the proximity to Sofia to buy properties in the village and in the surrounding area.
