Nikolaevo is a village in North Bulgaria. It is situated in Pleven municipality, Pleven region.
In Bulgaria there are five other settlements carrying that name - in Strazhitsa municipality, Veliko Tarnovo district, in Radomir municipality, Pernik region, in Sliven municipality, Sliven region, in Nikolaevo municipality, Stara Zagora region and in Tryavna municipality, Gabrovo region.
It is 15 km southwest of Pleven, 18 km northwest of Lovech, and about 9 km of the main road that connects the two towns.
It is situated in the Danubian Plain on the shore of the Chernyalka river.
The permanent population is about 700 people. There are a couple of English families that own properties in the village.
In Nikolaevo there are two shops, pensioners club, regular transportation to the town of Pleven, all mobile operators have coverage. The medical assistance is provided by one GP and the nearest hospital is the municipality. Children go to school or are brought to the kindergarten in the village of Beglezh (12 km west).
The area offers good conditions for fishing and hunting. In Pleven the tourists can visit one of the most popular landmarks in the country - Pleven Panorama, The museum of vine, Skobelev park and the house-museum "Tsar Osvoboditel Aleksander II".
Interesting natural landmark is the canyon of Chernelka river which is protected area.
