Sveta gora is the most eastern quarter in town of Veliko Tarnovo.
The quarter is situated in the highest part of the town, in close proximity to Tsarevets Fortress. It neighbours Varusha quarter on the north-east, Asenov quarter on the north, 'Sveta gora' Park on the east, Yantra River on the west and Magistralna Str on the south.
There are no newly-constructed buildings in the area. Sveta gora is constructed mainly with small residential buildings and single-family houses.
On the territory of the quarter are located 'Pepsi' factory, the Railway Station, the Students hostels, the Rector's of St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo, a church, a mosque and 'Sveta gora' park - the biggest park in the town.
'Sveta gora' entertaining complex is located on 'Sveta gora' hill and reveals splendid panoramic view. The hotel complex offers various amenities for complete relaxation and tourism. It includes a hotel part, a restaurant with a panoramic terrace, a night bar, a lobby bar, conference halls, a swimming pool complex with a water bar and a water cascade, a sauna, a summer restaurant-barbecue, a children playground and a private parking lot with security.
The most attractive cultural-historical site of Veliko Tarnovo - Tsarevets Fortress, is in close proximity to the quarter. Tsarevets attracts its tourists with the Sound and Light audiovisual show.
The quarter is located in close proximity to the first-class road Sofia-Varna.
Teodosii Tarnovski Blvd and Slivnitsa Str connect Sveta gora with the centre of the town. The quarter is just 1.5 km away of the downtown. There are very good transportation links and regular bus transportation.
